Carved rose gold Arris ring with orange sapphire and white diamonds
Our latest Arris ring combines a bright orange oval sapphire with 18-carat rose gold to stunning effect. Carved by hand, the rose gold and orange sapphire ring has the sculptural lines and fluid curves characteristic of our Arris rings. The ring's delicate proportions make it ideal to wear as a dress ring or an alternative engagement ring. This unusual asymmetric rose gold ring is set with an oval 1.16 carat orange sapphire. Two brilliant white diamonds set in the bezel of the ring add a little sparkle.
To create this one-of-a-kind ring we carved the form in wax before casting it in 18-carat rose gold. Carving in wax enables us to work instinctively and create sculptural forms with smooth, graceful curves. Proportions are refined and adjusted in the wax to ensure that the design is balanced and considered from all angles. Once we are satisfied, the model is cast in precious metal ready to finish, polish and set.
The rose gold and orange sapphire ring is brushed to a soft matt-satin finish, which compliments its smooth, sculptural curves. The brushed finish also enhances the colour of the rose gold. The reason for this is that a matt surface doesn't reflect the objects around it as much as a brightly polished surface would, thus the colour of the metal becomes more apparent when it is brushed to a matt finish.
