Hammered bi-metal men's wedding band
We’ve just finished a commission for a men’s hammered bi-metal wedding ring. Bi-metal rings combine two different precious metals; this ring pairs hammered 18-carat white gold with smooth rose gold along one edge. You can see the bi-metal wedding band above on the left, the rings to the right are men’s hammered wedding bands from our collection.
To make the bi-metal wedding band we formed separate rings from each metal. The white gold ring was then hammered on a mandrel, using the faceted hammer below, to create a worn, natural texture.
The rose and white gold rings were then sized to match perfectly and soldered to join the two into a single ring.
After soldering, the mixed metal wedding ring was carefully filed and finished.
Hammering creates a raw, organic texture and a lovely soft lustre. In this bi-metal wedding ring the hammered texture is accentuated by the smoothness of the brushed rose gold edge.
For more inspiration take a look through our wedding ring collection, which includes men's bi-metal wedding bands and hammered wedding rings in 18 carat white, yellow, rose gold and platinum, as well as unusual forged and mobius wedding rings for men.
