Rose gold Arris ring with oval tsavorite garnet and white diamonds
Carved by hand, this 18-carat rose gold, tsavorite and diamond ring is a new addition to our Arris ring series and is now available to buy online. The unusual asymmetric design features a 1.78 carat oval tsavorite garnet set at a slight angle across the finger. A wide rose gold bezel set with two sparkling white diamonds surrounds the oval tsavorite and echoes the stone's shape. The stone's intense green colour is enhanced by the contrast with 18-carat rose gold. Made with generous quantities of metal, the hand-sculpted ring has graceful curves and fluid lines and is ideally sized for wear as an engagement ring or as a dress ring. Tsavorite garnet is prized for its beautiful emerald green colour and brilliant sparkle and this stone is an excellent example. Tsavorite garnet is rarer than emerald and has the advantage of being less included and more durable. For these reasons, tsavorite garnet makes an excellent choice for an engagement ring.
To create the ring we hand-carved the form in wax before casting in 18-carat rose gold. This is the process we follow for all of our Arris rings. Each of these unique rings is individually hand-carved and is designed to accommodate a remarkable gemstone. Carving in wax, which is a relatively soft material, enables us to work instinctively to create sculptural forms that will compliment a particular gem. The lines and proportions of the form can be refined and adjusted in wax before the ring is cast in precious metal.
